Bro bought a whole house for her and I can't even get a text back. 

This husband proved that he cared far more for his wife's continued peace than his bank account. Although they were well-off from business deals of the past, this man knew that his money wasn't worth as much as his wife's happiness. With a wife who is an eternal people-pleaser, doomed to fall into the same patterns of self-doubt whenever her parents were around, this guy moved his family of four away from the in-laws on purpose. Space worked well for everyone until the in-laws decided they wanted to be closer to their grandbabies and far too close for comfort for Mom and Dad. 

Love works in mysterious ways. It's usually the small acts of endearment that mean the most, like a thoughtful note or a well-timed foot rub, but this woman must have won the husband lottery. The way that he protects her from her own family, this man is certainly a keeper, and a well-to-do investor at that.

  • 1. Quite sure ny brother won't spill the beans. He hasn't seen my In-laws in years and he is not the type to go bring it up with my wife. His objection is more that it will do more longterm good to "have it out" with the inlaws and I'm avoiding the core problem.

  • 2. The agency has been instructed only to rent full-time residents. The idea being that it is dangerous to leave the house completely unoccupied for long stretches. That should exclude my in-laws. But that said they aren't the types to rent they like to do things exactly to their specification.
